School-Based & Community Events
At Villages of California, events play a large role in the work we do and the impact we create. Whether it is a school-based event providing aid, resources, mental health awareness, or stigma reduction OR it is an event that seeks to cater to the needs of our community, in our community, to help our clients thrive both physically and mentally - events are a chance for us to put our community-based approach into motion.
We are currently partnered with Anaheim Elementary School District and have events at their school sites on a weekly basis. If you are an AESD parent or want a more detailed calendar of AESD happenings, use the calendar below!

Men's Mental Health Awareness Tabling Event @ Golden Road
June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month. Over 6 million men struggle with depression each year. We want to foster self-care and reduce the stigma. 1 in 3 men think they’ve had a diagnosable mental health condition at some point in their life, but sadly so many go untreated. Join us at Golden Road Brewing to have an open discussion about mental health. Let’s talk about ways to reduce stress, practice self-care, and positively impact our mental health. All are welcome and encouraged to stop by! No RSVP necessary.

What’s the reality? Mental health does not discriminate and it is something we all live with.

MasterPeace Art Show
Join us for an evening of art, community, mental health awareness, perspective and refreshments. We will be hosting a juried art show alongside The Art Spread - an all schools, all grades art show that will have a panel of judges, finalist, and winners per grade category!
The intention behind this Art Show is not only to speak to the benefits of art, but to acknowledge the power of art as a way to experience our emotions and feelings 🎨In this case, we are asking our students to consider: HOW DO YOU MASTER PEACE? How do they interpret it or how can they portray it?
By encouraging them to draw this interpretation and their answer, we are exposing students and families to the art world, encouraging self-expression, connecting community members, and creating a space forthem to come together.
Mental Health Forum: Documentary + Panel Discussion
Council Member Ahmad Zahra presents, in association with the Fullerton Collaborative, a Villages of CA Documentary Screening + Panel Discussion 📽️🗣️⚙️
We will be screening our documentary “Reclaiming the Journey” followed by an expert panel discussion with: Wound Walk, High Hopes Counseling, OC Health Care Agency, and one of our own VOC representatives - Amanda Garcia.
We will have Helen Marie Diaz with us as a Keynote Speaker, whose story you will learn about in the documentary itself - a documentary about reclaiming one’s journey with mental health. Because mental health doesn’t discriminate…Every person. Every age group. Every walk of life. Every profession. It can be a struggle for all of us.
So, join us in a conversation about mental health, its impact on our youth, seniors and the unhoused, stigma reduction and available services.
