Prevention

From September 2022 to May 2024, Villages of California has provided services to 11,658 families and served 39,712 people through community initiatives.

We know that in order for our clients to do well, we need to ensure that they are thriving in every aspect of life - physically, socially, and mentally. The team at VOC addresses behaviors that impact our clients’ academic success and helps develop healthy family and peer relationships, while addressing mental health and substance abuse challenges.

We are actively creating events and opportunities to de-stigmatize mental health and eliminate as many barriers to care & resources as possible.

Intervention

It has been recognized that clients and their families often fall through cracks in a system that lacks resources to address the various struggles that youth and families encounter. We envision a system of care where mental health services are carefully designed and delivered within a school and home setting to create a safety-net for vulnerable families in our community.

What does that look like?

VOC provided a total of

All of which are created through evidence-based treatment and research. We provide a full spectrum of services from prevention to direct care services within school settings.

After hearing the need from our clients, we are proud to announce that we are opening an outpatient center in 2025 that will allow us to support young adults, youth, and their families. This center will be home to our Intensive Outpatient Program.

Who’s making this happen?

Supervised by Licensed Clinicians, the VOC team is trained to address issues including trauma, eating disorders, grief and loss, family dynamics, OCD and PTSD, and issues impacting a student’s academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth. Some modalities used in treatment include trauma-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and collaborative problem-solving.

As we grow, so does our team and our services. Want to meet our Leadership team?
